Car Fire in Warrenpoint

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 2:37pm to a report of a fire at the Summer Hill area of Warrenpoint this afternoon (Tuesday 19th July).

“One Fire Appliance each from Warrenpoint and Newry Fire Stations were deployed to the scene. Firefighters using a jet, a hosereel jet and breathing apparatus dealt with a car on fire in the area. 2 adjacent terraced residential properties were also damaged during the incident. No one was inside either property.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 3:01pm and the cause of the fire is under investigation.”
