Lord Wimborne visits Warrenpoint
These are photographs taken of a visit by Lord Wimborne to Warrenpoint. At the time, Wimbourne was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. The Lord Lieutenant was the British representative in Ireland and the head of the executive. Lord Wimbourne - Ivor Guest Churchill was a first cousin of Winston Churchill.
He was in Warrenpoint on a recruitment drive for the British Army in it's war against Germany in the First World War.
