Coastal Route
Have you ever wondered why the Mourne Coastal Route takes a turn right at the Whistledown Hotel and not continue on round the front shore?
A drive around the shore passing by the pier and the dock is very beautiful indeed!
There must then be a reason why tourists to the area are being directed by the Mourne Coastal Route signs?
Is this to ensure that visitors drive through our wonderful town?
Is the Cooley Pennisula - the mountain range on view on the shore route - not the Mournes therefore misleading to the visitors?
Has the decision already been made to pedestrianise the route around by the Square?
Why this way......
and not this way.....
Any ideas?
