Love Your Lough

A great new Facebook page - Love Your Lough - is promoting awareness of the environmental issues that affect Carlingford Lough.

The page seeks to monitor, highlight and campaign on issues such as pollution, clean-ups and wildlife protection. The Lough belongs to all of us and it is our responsibility to protect and care for it for us and for the generations that follow us.

The Lough is the hidden jewel of this area and his held in wonderment by all who see it. We also recognise that it is part of local commerce. Both have to respect each other and work together in partnership.

We all need to be active partners in ensuring we keep the Lough alive as a sanctuary for wildlife and a place of pleasure for us all.

We must take action to prevent this type of thing happening.... Love Your Lough Warrenpoint!
